Star Beach Guest House - Negombo

The hotel is nice, and has everything I need, including free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, outdoor swimming pool, and beach access. The staff helped me take care of my elderly parents on my first stay. I recommend enjoying a welcome drink. I'm definitely coming back for a weekend.

The staff were cute and helpful. I particularly enjoyed the lovely sea views from my room. The location was convenient, just steps away from the beach and local restaurants.

The bathroom had a mild odor.

we where upgraded to air-conditioned a double room with a wonderful seaview. location: the hotel was so close to the beach in negombo and negombo for a longer period and good restaurant.

Was a great base for trip. That was special and straightforward hotel set in pretty nice area, so close to shops as well as a beautiful beach. The room was brand-new and air-conditioned, offered climate control, a TV set, and a radio. The location was great and beautiful - within short walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go...

Had a lovely stay! The pool was refreshing and perfect for a hot day, and I enjoyed the delicious vegan pancakes for breakfast! Just a bit of seaweed in the water, but I'd come back!

The room was good-sized with balconies, a great view, for instance gbp 29. Having shower facilities, a bidet, and bath sheets was a bonus👍👌

Air conditioner leaked water, bathroom cleanliness needs improvement, unpleasant odors from the bathroom!!! The balcony was unexpectedly closed in, disappointing!!!

Ocean view room bliss

The bathroom occasionally harbors an unpleasant smell, indicating a need for better ventilation or cleaning. I encountered a small, old fan that could use a good scrub, which detracted from the overall comfort of the room. The hotel's proximity to the beach is great, but I stumbled upon maintenance storage near my room, less appealing than being steps away from the sand.

Ja, no, the staff were super friendly and the brekkie was a lekker feast with fresh fruit and eggs! Room had a sweet balcony view of the pool and beach, perfect for chilling after a long flight. The whole vibe was just so relaxing, defs a great spot for unwinding.

Just a heads up, the room felt a bit dated, but was still comfy enough for our stay.

The shower in my room didn't function properly and the air conditioning seemed weak at times. Not ideal for a hot location like this. I also noticed the bathroom could use better upkeep, as there was an occasional unpleasant odor. Despite these issues, the friendly staff were accommodating was nice.

This place is right on the beach and has a cool pool! The staff were super friendly. I really appreciated having an electric kettle for my herbal tea. The downside? The bathroom could have used some better ventilation because sometimes it had a funky smell.
